Transforming Hearts, Conformed to Christ

Outreach

There are many ways for the members of Covenant to reach out and minister to others in our congregation, our neighborhood, our city, and our world.  Here are just a few.  Click on the pictures to see more about each activity.

Covenant is involved in the global ministry of the Word of God by actively supporting missionaries financially and through prayer (Mt. 28:18-20).

Covenant was a drop-off point for hurricane relief donations.  Items were dropped off at the church building on the covered porch until 3 p.m. each day.  See the attached list for needed items.

Hurricane Ike Relief

Covenant adopted a single mom and her handicapped 3-year-old son to help with their immediate needs. After the family evacuated for the hurricane, their apartment caught on fire, destroying almost everything they owned. Covenant members are donating clothing, toys, dishes, pots & pans, diapers & wipes...

2005: Our Vacation Bible School was held July 18-22, 2005.  We had a wonderful time under the Big Top.  The kids learned how to follow Jesus, love others, trust God, share with each other, and invite one another to hear the good news of God's love.  After an opening skit, the children rotated in groups through Bible Story Spotlight, Games, Snacks, Crafts, and Singing.

2004: Our Vacation Bible School was held July 26-30, 2004.  We had a great time at Camp Covenant, learning God's Word and having fun.  After an opening skit, the children rotated in groups through Crafts, Singing, Science, Snacks, and Games.

Covenant's Fall Festival was held on Saturday, October 30, 2004.  We had a beautiful day and over 130 visitors.  Covenant members and visitors had lots of fun dunking one another, throwing whipped cream pies at each other, racing one another, eating donuts hanging on strings, having their faces painted, jumping in the moonwalk, and engaging in a number of other fun activities.
