Pastor/Leadership Meet the Pastor
On August 2, 2009 the Congregation of Covenant PCA called Mr. Lou Veiga to be our Senior Pastor. Pastor Veiga officially began his duties as the Senior Pastor on October 1, 2009. Pastor Veiga, his wife Suzi, and their two boys Daniel and Michael, are excited to be in Houston and part of our church fellowship. Pastor Lou Veiga is a graduate of Greenville Presbyterian Theological Seminary (M. Div.), and also holds degrees in Business (MBA) and Engineering (BSEE). Before assuming his current position as Senior Pastor of Covenant Church (PCA) in Houston, Texas, Lou was Director of Development & Recruiting at Greenville Seminary in Taylors, South Carolina. He has been a ruling elder in the Presbyterian Church in America and in the Orthodox Presbyterian Church for over 25 years. Pastor Veiga has also served as a bilingual Volunteer Chaplain at the Federal Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky for 14 years. He was born in Havana, Cuba but immigrated to America after Castro took power. He and his wife Suzi have adopted two boys, Michael and Daniel, from Guatemala.
